Hi, I’m Trevor Howell, founder of R4 Sports Complex.
R4 was built from a simple belief — that sports can do more than build athletes; they can build character, confidence, and community. I wanted to create a place where every kid, no matter their background, can walk through the doors, feel seen, and know they belong.
This vision started with my own four kids — Reaves, Ryker, Vayda, and Riggs — and it’s grown into something bigger than I ever imagined. R4 represents them, but it also stands for Relentless Faith, Real Community, Reaching Youth, and Restoring Hope. Those words define who we are and why we’re here.
When you join R4, you’re not just signing up for a court, a class, or a gym. You’re becoming part of a family — one that cheers for each other, lifts each other up, and believes that what we learn in sports carries over to every part of life.

R4 Sports Complex will be located in the South Knoxville / Seymour area.
The facility will include two full-size basketball courts, a 100’ x 75’ indoor turf field, weight training zones, event and party rooms, and family-focused spaces — designed to serve athletes and the community year-round.

HOW R4
CAME TO BE
R4 was founded by Trevor Howell, a father of four — Reaves, Ryker, Vayda, and Riggs — who wanted to create a place where all kids, regardless of background or income, could access high-quality sports training and mentorship. The name R4 represents both his children and the four principles that guide the mission: Relentless Faith, Real Community, Reaching Youth, and Restoring Hope.
